    No public event is complete without music - and this is especially true here in Valencia.

    The Valencia International Music Band Contest continues to be a meeting point and point of reference for everybody. Like an echo from the past, we find ourselves here again - ready to be picked up and swept away by the music we Valencians love.

    It is events such as this contest that bring us closer to the music - and the music closer to us. Music is both a universal language and a reason for meeting together. This year, we also proudly celebrate our biannual arts festival, and the two events combine to tell the world about the cultural importance of our city.
