     The origin of the band goes back before Napoleonic times. However, the modern band was formed in the 1990's and since then a great effort has been made to raise the standard by inviting internationally recognised directors to work with the band.

    This effort showed results in 1999 when the band won first prize in the second section of the Valencia International Music Band Contest. Last year, the band played in many international events, including the Verdi room of the Milan conservatory.
