Bernabé Sanchis
He was born in Alaquàs in 1943 and studied at the Valencia conservatory. In 1965, he obtained a place in municipal band of Palma de Mallorca, where he also directed. He has led the bands of Alaquàs, Aldaia, Enguera, Silla, and Cullera in Valencia, and Pollença in Palma de Mallorca. He has also guest-directed the bands of Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, and Huelva.
He is a member of the Valencian association of composers and joined the Spanish national association of band directors in 1963. In 1979, he was appointed director of the municipal band of Vitoria-Gasteiz, and two years later he became director of the Alicante band. In 1986, he obtained a grant from the Alicante provincial government to study directing in the Italian town of Sienna. In 1986, he was awarded the "Fogueres de Sant Joan" composition prize in Alicante and in 1996 he received the "Sant Jordi" composition prize in Alcoy.

Vicente Sanchis
He was born in Alaquàs in 1939 and studied at Valencia and Santa Cruz de Tenerife conservatories. Among his many awards are the Vatican II prize presented by Pope Paul IV, the medal of honor of the Bello Horizonte legislature, and the gold medal of the Columbian city of Cali. He was named man of the year in Huelva in 1979. For composing pasodobles, he was awarded the "Ciudad de Alicante" prize.
He currently directs the Huelva municipal band. He has directed various choirs and conservatories in Columbia and Spain. He has also directed: the Orquesta Clásica de Valencia, the Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá, the Sinfónica de Tolima, and the Grupo Sinfónico de Huelva.
