Declared an Asset of Intangible Cultural Interest by Decreto 68/2018, de 25 de mayo, and Representative Manifestation of Intangible Cultural Heritage by Real Decreto 229/2021, de 30 de marzo, by the Council of Ministers of the Government of Spain.

The Societat Musical de Benifaraig was born in 2011 and during these years it has participated in numerous performances and concerts, among which it is worth mentioning the campaigns Retrobem la Nostra Música, Excel·lent Música de Banda, Campanya d'Intercanvis Musicals, regional activities that it carries out annually, in addition to participating in various festivals and concerts at the Palau de la Música in Valencia on the occasion of the 1st and 5th anniversary and the concert at the Palau de Les Arts for the 10th anniversary.

It participated in the years 2016, 2018 and 2021 in the Contest organized by the Excelentísima Diputación de València, obtaining a second prize in its fourth division on all three occasions.

It participated, in 2019, in the Certamen Nacional de Bandas de Música de Colombia, as a guest band, representing Spain.

In 2021, it was named an illustrious entity of culture by the Junta Municipal de los Pueblos del Norte of the Valencia City Council.

It actively participates in the cultural life of the village, organizes different concerts, and is also the head of the Escuela de Música y Artes Escénicas Pueblos del Norte de València where it offers music, dance and theater lessons.

The music director of the Societat Musical Amics de la Música de Benifaraig from its beginnings to the present day, Jaume Castelló Moragón.

He is a percussion teacher in the music schools of the musical societies Unió Musical d'Albalat dels Sorells, Associació Amics de la Música de Benifaió and Societat Musical de Benifaraig. In addition, he is civil servant of the Escuela Municipal de Música del Ayuntamiento de Morella and the Escuela Municipal de Música del Ayuntamiento de Loriguilla.

He is currently a student of interpretation and pedagogy at the Escuela Superior de Música de Alto Rendimiento (ESMAR).

He has studied conducting, highlighting the workshops taken at the prestigious music university "Berklee, College of Music" on its Valencia campus.

He has participated as a performer with different orchestras and bands, highlighting his participation in the 2018 season as a musician in the Joven Banda Sinfónica de la Federación de Sociedades Musicales de la Comunidad Valenciana, and during 2018 and 2019 with the Joven Banda Sinfónica de Barcelona.
