    Born in El Puig, Valencia, in 1964, he studied and obtained an extraordinary first prize from the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Valencia. He later studied in Barcelona and Luxembourg.

    As a teacher, he co-founded Music-Estiu 87 in Menorca and taught at the conservatory of Ribarroja del Turia and the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Zaragoza.

    He has studied orchestral directing, analysis and composition under F. García, R. Talens, F. Tamarit, J. Mª Cervera, Bernardo Adam Ferrero and Julio Ribelles.

    He founded the Jove Orquestra de Puçol and the Orquesta de la Unión Musical Santa Maria de El Puig, and directed the Banda Eslava de Albuixech and the Centro Instructivo and Musical Santa Cecilia in Puçol.

    He works with the Orquesta Municipal de Valencia, Banda Municipal de Castellón, Banda Municipal de Barcelona, Orquesta Sinfónica in Asturias, Orquestra de Cambra in Catalonia and the Orquesta Lyonnais in Lyon.

    He has recorded for TVE, RNE, TV3, Catalunya Radio, C9, Radio 9, Radio France and Suddeutschen Rundfunks. He has also participated in the music festivals of Barcelona, Santander, Nimes, Luxembourg, Maastricht, Ludwigshaten, Innsbruck, Paris, Edinburgh and London.

    He gave the first Spanish performance of ‘Concertino for Marimba & Winds’ by Alfred Reed, and was invited soloist for the closing concert of the Valencia International Music Band Contest, with the Banda Municipal de Valencia, in the Valencia Palau de la Música in July 1998.

    He has been a member of the Banda Municipal de San Sebastián, Conservatorio de San Sebastián, Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao and the Orquesta Sinfónica del Gran Teatro del Liceo de Barcelona. He is currently teaching at the Banda Municipal de Valencia.

    He has written compositions for the Banda Sinfónica, Orquesta Juvenil, soloists, chamber musicians and various transcriptions. The Banda Municipal de Valencia first performed his piece entitled ‘Vasa’ on the 7 October 2000 in the Palau de la Música. The Royal Swedish Navy and Air Force Band also chose the piece for a five-city tour of Sweden in January 2001.

    His works have been published by Catalana d'Edicions Musicais, Barcelona; as well as BL3S-BASEN, and UMEA in Sweden. He is a member of the Spanish Society of Authors and Publishers and is a member of the World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles.
