Pedro Bueno Gil, José Barrera Bort and Alejandro Bonora Muñoz founded the band in 1950. The founders established the 'Embarronat del Pati del Sitges' at the same time. Just one year after starting work, the band offered the public its first concert under the baton of Enrique Martínez Martínez.
Directors of the band have included: Amador Martínez Faubel, José Luis Casielles Camblor, and Enrique Forés Asensi.
A music school is based in the band's own building in Burjassot. The school has 13 teachers and teaches music theory and instruments to 212 students.
The band has participated several times in the Valencia International Music Band Contest, the Valencia provincial competition, Benifayó and Moncada. It has also organised 21 civil band festivals.
The current president of the band is also one of the founders, Miguel Estelles Asensi.
