     The band was founded in 1880. Under the leadership of Pascual García and José Simón it won first prize at Benifayó in 1944 and second prize a year later, as well as second prize at Quesa in 1957.

    The band began to win prizes again in the 1970‘s when Manuel Tomás Boix became director. It collected second prize in provincial competitions organised in Xiva (1974), Sueca (1976) and Paiporta (1978).

    Francisco Pons Sáez became director of the band and school in 1988. The band won first prize in the second section at Leganés in Madrid in 1992; second prize in the third section of the Valencia International Music Band Contest in in 1994; third prize in the second section of Valencia provincial competition in 1996; first prize in the second section of the Valencia provincial competition in 2000; second prize in the second section at Leganés in 2000; and second prize in the second section of the Comunidad Valenciana competition in Cheste in 2000.
