Its musical origins go back to the late nineteenth century and the founding of two politically opposed bands, ‘Los Panxitos’ (republican) and ‘Los Jutgitos’ (carlist). However, rivalry caused both to disappear. Since then various bands appeared, most notably under the leadership of Dolores Palau and José Sanchis. However, it was left to a local musician, Manuel Palau Boix, to establish the modern musical company.

The musical company was formed in November 1990 and a musical school was established five years later. From the beginning, the company has been a member of the Valencian federation of musical companies. The first instrumental group was formed in 1993 and this evolved into the first band the following year – directed, as today, by its founder, Llorenç Mendoza Ruiz.

In June 1993, the company and the Valencian federation of musical companies organised an event celebrating the centenary of the birth of Manuel Palau Boix with the participation of 12 bands from L'Horta Nord. Since 1993, the band has participated in the ‘Retrobem la Nostra Música’ musical campaigns sponsored by the province of Valencia.

The music school has 14 teachers and around 100 students. Its first president was Josep Marqués Mora, and the current president is Victor Palanca Palau.
