Ateneu Musical i Cultural de Albalat de la Ribera (Valencia)

     Josep Escandell i Vila was born in Alzira in 1964. He studied music at the Sociedad Musical de Alzira under Hernández Guirado, and later studied choral direction at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Valencia under Eduardo Cifre. He also studied twentieth century atonal music under the composer César Cano, and is currently studying composition and directing with José Maria Cervera Collado and Cervera Lloret.

    He has successfully directed the Ploiesti symphony orchestra in Rumania.

    He also directs the Banda Jove y Cor de la Sociedad Musical in Alzira, and is a guest director with the Orquesta de Cámara of L'Empordà.
