Juan Toledo Pérez

Unión Musical "Santa Cecília" de Landete (Cuenca)

    Juan Toledo Pérez was born in Valencia in 1966, and began his musical studies in Alaquás under Amadeu Mateu and Arturo Parra.

    In 1982, he moved to Madrid and joined the army infantry band. He continued his studies under José Chenoll, professor of trombone at the Real Conservatorio de Música in Madrid. He finished his studies under Joaquín Vidal, professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Valencia.

    After receiving a grant from the department of education, he took advanced courses with the JONDE, and was contracted by several orchestras including the Principado de Asturias symphony orchestra and the Valladolid symphony orchestra.

    He studied directing under Ramón Herrero and José Mª Cervera. He has directed the ‘Mestre de Medina’ de Alaquas, the junior and senior bands of Alaquas, and the school of Alto Turia de Chelva.

    He is currently a music teacher in the Nazaret centre for musical studies, and teaches trombone in Benicalap, Campanar, Carteros, San José de Pignatelli, Gayanos, and Senabre. He is also a director of the Sociedad Musical Mireña de Mira in Cuenca; the municipal music school; and the Unión Musical Santa Cecilia in Landete.
