One
year more we are meeting together to live the "City of
Valencia" International Music Bands Contest, that will
flood the foundations from "top to bottom" during
the month of July.
It is an important traditional contest, recognised all over
the world and where the best music band associations meet both
from Spain and from abroad in this popular discipline of artistic
creation.
The Government of Valencia, as always, is taking part in the
celebration of this cultural milestone, proud of being able
to spread the name of Valencia as a land of artists and musicians.
Because music bands represent a powerful reality in all our
villages and regions, making each and every one of the musical
associations true homes of brotherhood, work and festivity.
From all of that our citizens and civil framework within the
Valencian Community all benefit from it.
The "Palau de la Música" and the "Plaza
de Toros", for a few days become a reference point for
all Valencians and for all those who choose to visit us. They
are an international reference point for the reality of bands
and a Valencian reference point because of the importance that
music bands give to our land. Furthermore, this is the most
important international music festival with the best quality
in Europe.
The Fair of San Jaime invites us then to enjoy the skill of
the musicians from abroad and those bred here. Bands from different
countries and cultures, and Spanish and Valencian bands who
will fill the streets and auditoriums; but above all, who will
impregnate the warm nights of our city with music. Because
music is international and knows no frontiers.
