IMPERATOR CARLOMAGNO

Imperator Carlomagno is symphonic poem about the emperor Charlemagne, which represents different scenes from his reign, including his invasion of the Iberian Peninsula where he fought against the Muslim empire and the Basques at the famous Battle of Roncevaux Pass.

Through his foreign conquests and internal reforms, Charlemagne built the foundations of what would become Western Europe in the Middle Ages, fostering a resurgence of Latin culture and arts.
